The name LADANI was originated from the first two letters of the Sinhalese words LAma DAya NIvasaya which means HOME OF LOVE AND CARE FOR CHILDREN. This is an approved charitable organization (NGO) in Sri Lanka which provides shelter, food, clothing and education for the destitute children. Due to the down turn of the economy and disruption in social values, as usually associated with the civil war in a country, the demand for orphanages increased. In this context Ladani tries to do whatever possible within its resources to bring love and care and joy to the deprived children.
